Medical Test

Seafarers must undergo a medical examination from the medical centers approved by Director General Shipping as per M.S. rules of ILO/ Panama/ Liberian etc. Galaxy Mariners and Shipping Company ensures that all our applicants undergo a medical test and assess the results. We thus ensure that all applicants are medically fit before training or placement aboard a vessel. Some procedures included in the medical examination are chest X-ray, urine test, drug and alcohol test, dental and visual test, e.c.g. test, some special tests like H.I.V. if required, etc. Galaxy Mariners and Shipping Company uses the services of National Medical Centre (D.G. approved). 1) Pre-Sea Training (Deck & Engine) Rating Course Pass with aggregate 40% marks in 10th standard from a recognized Board with Science, Mathematic & English as subject & with minimum 40% marks in English Language either 10th or 12th standard Pass in 10+2 from any stream with 40% marks in 12th standard. Similarly, required to obtain at least 40% marks in English. Either at 10th or 12th standard. 17 1/2 to 25 Years 01st January &

2) Certificate Course in Maritime Catering Pass in 10+2 from any Stream with 40% marks in 12th standard. Similarly required to obtain atleast 40% marks in English. Either at 10th or 12th Standard. 17 1/2 to 25 Years 01st January &

3) The Three Year Degree Course for B.Sc. Nautical Science (Mumbai University) & (DG Shipping) Pass in 12th standard (10+2)with PCM average not less than 60% and 50% marks in English at SSC or HSC 25 Years 21 st July
4) The Three Year Degree Course for B.Sc. Hospitality Studies (Hotel Management) (Mumbai University) (YCMOU) a) Pass in 12th standard (10+2)with 50% aggregate (any Stream)
b) 45% in case of reserved category students.
c) Pass in 12th standard (10+2) for YCMOU 		---- 21 st July
5) HND in Nautical Science in Association with Tyneside College / City of Glasgow College (UK) approved by MCA Pass in plus Two (12th Standard) or its equivalent with Maths, Physics and Chemistry group in class XII and preferably at least 50% in English.
(1st Year at BPMA & 2"d Year at STC/CGC (UK) Awarded Best National Nautical Centre of Excellence status by UK Govt. Website : www.stc.ac.uk / www.cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk ) 		Preferably 17 to 25 Years 13th January & 8th September
6) HND in Marine Engineering in Association with South Tyneside College / City of Glasgow College (UK) approved by MCA Pass in plus Two (12th Standard) or its equivalent with Maths, Physics and Chemistry group in class XII and preferably at least 50% in English (equivalent to IELTS 5.0 minimum)
(1st Year at BPMA & 2nd Year at STC/CGC (UK) Awarded Best National Nautical Centre of Excellence status by UK Govt. Website : www.stc.ac.uk www. cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk ) 		Preferably 17 to 25 Years 13th January & 8th September
7) Electro Technical Officer Course Candidates who have scored 50% and above in English 10th or 12th a) 10 + 2 + Degree 50% b) 10 + Diploma + Degree 50% (B. E. / B. Tech. in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Instrumentation) c) 10 + 2 + Diploma 60% 35 Years and Below January/May/September
8) Orientation Course for Catering Personnel Candidates holding Degree/Diploma in Hotel management from recognized and reputed board or the universities The candidates should have scored a minimum of 40 % marks in English language at 10th / 12th standard examination. 18 to 28 Years Jan - 28th - 2016
